Bongo plankton net
Double-hoop
The Bongo plankton net has a double-hoop that allows you to collect two samples in each tow. This means duplicate samples can be obtained, or two different micron-rating plankton nets can be used.
Structure
Comprises a double hoop separated by a rotating connection point, both made of AISI 316 stainless steel . Each hoop includes a clamp for securing the net. The central connecting point has two lugs and an anti-twist shackle, allowing attachment of both the main line and depressor or weight. Available in various diameters.
Plankton net
The top and cod end of the plankton nets are made of sturdy canvas. The body of the net is made of Nytal mesh. The cod end is designed to fit our CP3 plankton collectors. The nets are conical or cylindrical-conical.
Depressor
A weight or depressor is needed to sink the net correctly. Includes various anchor points to vary the angle of attack. Available in different sizes.
