How it works
The Tubular Chamber is used for analysing plankton samples with an inverted microscope. The Tubular Chamber allows you to sediment the plankton prior to analysis, preventing any alteration of the sample.
How to use it
The chamber is screwed into the ring, holding the 0.2mm-thick glass āCoverslip Circleā. Pour the sample and position the round cover, preventing bubbles inside the chamber.
Tubular Chamber Ring
Base Ring for Tubular Chamber, made of AISI 316 stainless steel. It has a high precision inner thread so that the threaded tubular chamber can be attached. The bottom part of the ring is designed to attach to a inverted microscope (42mmĆ).
Threaded tubular chamber
Manufactured in acrylic to contain 5ml, 10ml or 25ml, with a tolerance of +/- 0.3ml. This volume is only obtained when you work with our base ring, threaded tubular chamber and glass coverslip circle together.

Tubular Chamber Ring
The Tubular Chamber Pack includes 1 base ring:
- Made of AISI 316 stainless steel, allowing to place the glass āCoverslip Circleā (incluided in the pack).
- It has a high precision inner thread so that the threaded tubular chamber can be attached.
- Ring size:
- Ć ext. 47mm
- Ć ext. 42mm for attaching to the microscope
- Ć int. 24mm
Threaded tubular chamber
TheĀ Tubular Chamber Pack includes 1 threaded tubular chamber made of methacrylate (Ć ext. 30mm / Ć int. 24mm), vol. to select from:
- Threaded Tubular Chamber 5ml.
- Threaded Tubular Chamber 10ml.
- Threaded Tubular Chamber 25ml.
Round cover
TheĀ Tubular Chamber Pack includes 1 Round cover:
- Made of borosilicate glass.
- Size: Ć ext. 33mm / 3mm thick.
Coverslip Circle
TheĀ Tubular Chamber Pack includes 100 Coverslip Circle:
- Made of borosilicate glass.
- Size: Ć ext. 28mm / 0.17mm thick.
